Change Text Box Text If Checkbox Is Checked

Try binding to the click event:

$('input[type=checkbox]').click(function () {
    if ($('input[type=checkbox]').is(':checked')) {
        $('#txt').val('checked');
    }
    else{
        $('#txt').val('unchecked');
    }
});

It should be like this

    $('input[type=checkbox]').click(function(){
       if ($('input[type=checkbox]').is(':checked')) {
